Kitchener memorial


Members of OARC were active from Marwick Head on Orkney from the 3rd to 5th June 2016 to commemorate the sinking of HMS Hampshire with the loss of 643 sailors, including Lord Kitchener. The event will ended with the unveiling of a memorial wall depicting the names of all the sailors who lost their lives in this tragedy.

The group  operated from a field adjacent to the Kitchener memorial.

They used various rigs and amplifiers, with vertical antennas, on SSB, CW & data, on 40 to 2m.

Electronic QSL is preferred or direct QSLing is now closed. No bureau cards.
